Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming town situated on the West Island, which is part of the Montreal island. It is the West Island, to those who have never heard of it, is a large region that runs from Lachine to the west. The West Island is frequently referred to as the location of birth of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time in the city was brief. Brugel was a woman of a certain age within Courtice Ontario, just outside Oshawa. At the beginning of her life she hoped to become professional performer, however an unexpected growth spurt made it impossible. The student tried it out, and ended up playing the role of the main character of Anne of Green Gables. The Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in the year 2000. For the past twenty years, her roles in the world of television and on the screen have varied. The character of Rita from the award winning show The Handmaid's Tale was her most famous. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor in the season 1 of the series and not seen much.
