Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is a mother of Russian origin who was born in Afghanistan. She speaks fluent German, Russian English as well as French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru has a Russian-Indian father. At the age of 11, Annet Mahendru choreographed and danced in a show that earned her an appearance on German television appearance. The show was a Russian snow girl who was transformed into an exciting Indian dancer. After graduating at New York's High School, she was awarded her bachelor's in English degree from St. John's University. Then in NYC, she was studying acting at the HB Studio. Then she moved to Groundlings School and took up several initiatives. Her birthplace was in Kabul Afghanistan to a Hindu-Indian father Ghanshan Ken Mahendru and an Russian mother Olga. The family moved together with their father to New York's East Meadow York at the age of thirteen years old. She stars in FX's The Americans alongside Matthew Rhys. Her most well-known role is the ex- KGB agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova in FX's The Americans. Her recurring role in The Following on Fox, The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
